A recognition worth celebrating

We're thrilled to share some exciting news: Commerce has once again been recognised as a Challenger in the 2026 Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Digital Commerce Platforms report. This marks our seventh consecutive year of recognition, something we're incredibly proud of.

This year, Gartner evaluated 14 vendors on their Completeness of Vision and Ability to Execute. These findings help businesses better understand their options when choosing a digital commerce platform.

The 2026 report identified three priorities for businesses to consider: agentic AI readiness, architectural agility, and proven scalability across unified B2B and B2C channels.

We’re honoured to be part of this year’s report and are proud of the work our teams have done and continue to do to bring more value to businesses through BigCommerce and Feedonomics.

A closer look at Commerce's strengths

Making products easier to discover and buy with AI.

We believe channel integration and data enrichment matter more as shoppers turn to AI assistants to find and compare products: channel integration helps merchants sell on more channels and reach more customers, including through Google’s AI Mode in Search and the Gemini app, while data enrichment gives AI agents and shoppers clear product details to discover more of what merchants sell.

Finding a product is only the first step. Once shoppers choose something in an AI assistant, they still need a smooth way to finish buying. We’re improving the checkout experience and partnering with Google on UCP-powered experiences, working toward shopping journeys that can move from product discovery to checkout across those Google surfaces. Discovery and checkout for Gemini and AI Mode is currently being rolled out to eligible brands and retailers on both BigCommerce and Feedonomics.

Helping businesses get more from their catalogues.

Catalogue enrichment helps businesses improve their product data so it’s detailed and complete enough for customers to find what they need and buy with confidence. With BigCommerce Catalog Enrichment, businesses can use AI to generate more complete product descriptions, search-friendly content, and answers to common customer questions. Feedonomics Enrichment helps businesses further enrich and optimise product data across channels. Together, these capabilities help teams spend less time managing product information manually while making it easier for buyers to find and understand what they're purchasing.

Built for how B2B businesses buy and sell.

B2B buyers expect the same convenience they get when shopping online as consumers, while businesses need simpler ways to manage pricing, approvals, and purchase orders. With BigCommerce B2B Edition and capabilities like native configure, price, and quote (CPQ), a PO agent, Companion, and account hierarchies, we're focused on helping midmarket B2B teams spend less time on manual tasks and more time serving their buyers.

The final word

We believe our continued recognition as a Challenger reflects what we've always stood for: giving businesses the freedom to build, innovate, and succeed on their terms.

With BigCommerce and Feedonomics, Commerce brings together a flexible commerce architecture, robust B2B capabilities, optimised product data, and AI-ready tools to help businesses expand their reach, increase product visibility, and stay ahead of the competition.
